Katwa Govt, Primary Teachers’ Training Institute was established in 1930, then it was conducted ‘Primary Guru Training’(G.T) as per documentary evidence at Dak Bungalow Road.

As a Government Primary Teachers’ Training Institute, recognized by NCTE and affiliated to West Bengal Board of Primary education, we try our best to implement the goals and objectives for teacher education, set by NCTE

Our vision is to ensure the successful achievement of the missions determined by NCTE, Department of School Education, Government of West Bengal and  West Bengal Board of Primary education
